Payments for DynamiHost subscriptions are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record and the authorised reseller of the service. Paddle handles checkout, invoicing, and refunds on our behalf. Every purchase is subject to Paddle’s Refund Policy, which forms part of the Paddle Buyer Terms and Conditions. If there is any inconsistency between this page and Paddle’s policy, Paddle’s policy applies. Nothing in this policy limits your mandatory consumer rights: if local consumer protection laws give you additional or non-waivable rights, the highest level of rights applies.
1. General policy
- Unless required by applicable law, all purchases are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
- Paddle may issue a refund on a discretionary basis (see section 6), or where you exercise an applicable statutory withdrawal or refund right (see section 2).
- Refunds will not be issued where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour.
- This policy does not affect your consumer rights in relation to a product which is not as described, faulty, or not fit for purpose (see section 5).
- If you receive a refund, access to the paid plan will cease and your account will move to the Expired plan, and your codes will stop scanning.
2. Statutory withdrawal rights
Where local consumer protection laws grant unconditional withdrawal rights, those rights apply and override this policy. The periods below run from the date of the transaction, and you must request the refund within the applicable period (see section 3).
- European Union, EEA, Switzerland and United Kingdom: consumers have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw from some digital content and service contracts and receive a full refund. The right applies to one-off purchases and to the first payment under a subscription; it does not apply to subsequent subscription payments, except that UK consumers with an annual subscription get a new 14-day withdrawal period when the subscription auto-renews for another year. If a subscription includes a free trial, you have 14 calendar days from the end of the trial to exercise the right. The right does not apply to digital content that has started to be downloaded, streamed or otherwise used where you gave express consent to waive your withdrawal rights.
- Turkey and Israel: consumers have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw from some digital content and service contracts and receive a full refund.
- South Korea, Brazil and China: consumers have a 7-day unconditional right to cancel digital content or service contracts after delivery and receive a full refund.
- Canada: consumers have a 7-day unconditional right to cancel digital content or service contracts after delivery and receive a full refund.
- Singapore: consumers have a 5-day unconditional right to cancel digital content or services after delivery or first access and receive a full refund.
3. How to withdraw, request a refund, or cancel
- Refunds: request a refund through the support link in your receipt or your account’s billing page, or visit paddle.net and select “Request refund”. You can also contact us at the address in section 9.
- Withdrawal (EU consumers): an online withdrawal button is available in the Paddle Customer Portal for eligible transactions during the 14-day withdrawal period. Access the portal using the “Manage subscription” or “Manage transaction” link in your transaction confirmation email, or via paddle.net, select the withdrawal option shown there, and follow the on-screen instructions. If you withdraw in time, Paddle will refund you within 14 days of receiving your request. UK consumers may exercise the right of withdrawal by contacting Paddle using any of the refund methods above.
- Cancellation: cancel at any time from your dashboard, or through the Paddle Customer Portal using the “Manage subscription” link in your confirmation email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, you keep paid features until then, and no further payments will be taken. We do not charge cancellation fees.
- If eligible, refunds are processed using the same payment method where possible, within 14 days of approval of the request.
- If a transaction is not eligible for a refund, you may still cancel the subscription at any time to prevent future billing.
4. Subscriptions, add-ons and the trial
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring subscription, monthly or yearly depending on the interval you choose, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- Add-ons linked to a subscription expire when the subscription ends, unless otherwise stated. Refund eligibility for add-ons and one-time transactions follows the same criteria as the main transaction, unless local law provides otherwise.
- Items that are delivered and fully accessible immediately may be non-refundable once delivered, except where required by law.
- The free trial carries no charge, so no refunds apply to it.
5. Technical or product defects
If you experience persistent technical issues with DynamiHost, or a material defect that prevents you from accessing the features as described, contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. If it cannot be resolved, contact Paddle’s support team (see section 3) with details of the issue and any response you received from us. Where there is evidence of a material technical or product defect, Paddle will issue a refund in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
6. Discretionary refunds
- Paddle may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund if a request is submitted within 14 days of your transaction date. Submitting a request within this period does not guarantee a refund.
- All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Paddle may consider the nature of the product, the reason for the request, usage or consumption, and any applicable contractual terms, and may approve a refund in full, approve a partial refund, or decline the request.
- A discretionary refund is voluntary and does not create an obligation to provide refunds in the future, including for similar requests.
7. Chargebacks and payment disputes
- Please contact Paddle, or us, before raising a chargeback or a dispute with your bank, card issuer or other payment provider.
- If you initiate a chargeback or payment reversal, access to the paid plan may be temporarily suspended while the matter is reviewed.
- This does not affect your lawful rights to dispute a charge under card-scheme or consumer-protection rules.
8. Updates and governing terms
Paddle may update its Refund Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your transaction governs that transaction, and we recommend saving a copy for your records. This policy is subject to the governing law, complaints and disputes provisions set out in the Paddle Buyer Terms and Conditions.
