If you run ads, the people who scan your printed codes are some of the warmest audiences you have. Pixels let you reach them again online.

Pixels

Add your Google or Meta (Facebook) pixel ID in the code or account settings. The pixel fires when a scanner passes through the code's short link, so scanners join your retargeting audiences exactly like website visitors do.

  • Availability depends on your plan; the feature shows a lock with the plan that unlocks it where it is not included.
  • Only add a pixel you own. The ID is public in page source by design; it is not a secret.

Conversion events

When a scan leads to something that matters (a purchase, a signup, a booking), report it back so analytics can attribute it:

  • Send conversion events through the REST API (see the API guide) with the code and a value.
  • Conversions appear in the code's analytics next to its scans, which is what makes cost-per-scan and revenue-per-placement calculations possible.
Pixels and conversions describe the scan, never the scanner's identity. DynamiHost does not build profiles of the people who scan your codes.
